Animatorly
Terms of service
Last updated 26 October 2026. These are the rules for using animatorly.com. We have tried to write them in plain language. By using the site, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Animatorly is operated by Phlack Visuals, the same operator as in our privacy notice.
Contact: [email protected]
2. What the site is
Animatorly is a directory of tools for animators, plus public animator profiles that clients can browse and contact. Later, we may add optional paid extras and a way for clients to post jobs. These terms will cover them when they exist.
3. No cut, and no payments between people
Animatorly never takes a cut of what an animator earns, and never handles payments between animators and clients. Animators and clients agree the work, the price and the payment directly with each other, and pay each other directly. Any deal you make with someone you met here is between you and them.
4. Accounts
You log in with a one-time link sent to your email address, so there is no password. You must own the email address you use, and you are responsible for what happens through your account.
You can delete your account yourself from your account page. The privacy notice explains what is removed when you do.
5. Profiles and portfolios
Only post work and material you have the right to show. You stay the owner of your work. By making a profile public, you let us show what you put on it on the site.
We may hide or remove a profile, or close an account, for abuse, stolen work, spam, or anything else that breaks these terms.
6. Enquiries
Clients contact animators through the enquiry form on a profile. We pass the message on, but we do not promise that an animator will reply, or that an enquiry will lead to a hire.
7. Verified
Where we offer a Verified badge, it means all of these: a confirmed email address, a confirmed phone number and a portfolio ownership check, plus a manual review by us. It is not a promise about the quality of someone's work, or that a job will go well. The free "Email confirmed" mark is separate. It only means the person used the link we sent to their email address.
8. Paid features
If we offer paid features, the price will be shown before you are charged anything. Founding-member terms will be published when they exist.
Refunds and cancellations: until a payment provider is set up and its terms are published here, we handle refund requests fairly and case by case. Email [email protected].
9. Affiliate links
Some tool links on the site are affiliate links. See our affiliate disclosure.
10. Limits on what we are responsible for
The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We are not a party to any contract between an animator and a client, and we are not responsible for what they agree or how it turns out. This does not take away any rights you have under South African law that cannot be limited.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. How we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) is set out in the privacy notice.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply to you.
